What is GU24?
GU24 socket/base is designed to replace the Edison screw-in base in energy-saving fixtures. Designed to be compatible and to meet the standards of energy-saving regulations. The advantage of the GU24 is that any fixture with a GU24 socket can use a bulb with any wattage as long as it has a GU24 base. The wattage, color temperature, and style can be varied by the user. GU24 light bulbs also emits 25% less heat than CFL light bulbs while lasting up to 10x longer than incandescent bulbs. It is slowly becoming the new standard as traditional screw-in CFL lamps are slowly being phased out.
